Quantitative methods are present in the decision-making of those responsible for organizations to mitigate subjectivity and possible biases as much as possible. This document addresses the application of 5 multi-criteria decision models: SAW, Moora, ANP, Promethee, and Topsis, for the decision process when selecting teachers. The methodology selects the criteria under which the candidates to fill a vacant position will be evaluated. These are prioritized with the Saaty AHP process, and in the last stage, the applicants are evaluated with each multicriteria model commented. The main results show that all the methods agree on the best candidate; that is, any method leads to the same result. If it were the case that there were two vacancies, that is, choose the 2 best candidates, four of the five models choose the same applicant. When carrying out a sensitivity analysis of the models by modifying the weights of the criteria, the ANP method is the most sensitive since it is the one that produces different results with the slightest changes in the evaluations of the applicants. In contrast, the method that has shown the least sensitivity has been Promethee.
