The study aims to obtain a description differentiated by gender in a university context, about the use and consumption of applications and/or services through the Internet. A mixed methodology is applied with descriptive and quantitative analysis, using statistical techniques and clustering models to complement the dataset description. The survey based on the first dimension of the COBADI (Basic Digital Competences) instrument is used, focusing on the possession of ICTs, place and type of connection, and the use and consumption of internet applications and services. The results show that both women and men guide the use of ICTs differently for their personal and academic activities, providing a baseline to further explore the development of digital competencies in university students.
