Abstract

This article describes the design and construction of an analyzer that measures online the Organic-Aqueous ratio (O/A) and the Phase Separation Time (TSF) in a solvent extraction process. The principle of operation is based on an automated system that acquires samples from the process and subjects them to digital image processing. The results show good precision, with a relative error of less than 2%. This analyzer aims to improve efficiency and recovery in hydrometallurgical mining plants.
