Abstract

This article reviews research on concrete resistance using crushed clay block as a total replacement of coarse aggregate. It analyzes effects on characteristics such as durability, compression resistance, porosity, modulus of elasticity, and indirect stress of concrete. A case study from a penitentiary establishment is presented. Results show that concrete derivatives with recycled aggregates have lower compression resistance than traditional mixes.
