Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic began in Wuhan in December 2019, significantly impacting the health and economic priorities of countries. Initial approaches, such as natural immunization, were adjusted as health systems collapsed, while others opted for total lockdowns, presenting economic challenges. In this context, a middle-ground approach seems the most feasible solution, avoiding health system collapse while fostering economic recovery. This paper examines how investing in human capital, knowledge, and innovation is crucial to overcoming the crisis and accelerating economic recovery.
