The volume of data generated by companies and organizations is constantly increasing, leading to the need for new scientific and engineering methods to manage, process, and analyze this data. Big Data, defined by the "5Vs" (volume, velocity, variety, veracity, and value), provides valuable insights for decision-making, efficiency improvements, and public policy development. However, a study by the Chilean-American Chamber of Commerce reveals that most companies in Chile are not yet leveraging these technologies. To remain competitive, organizations need to train specialized professionals in data science and predictive analytics.
