A flow control algorithm for high-speed computer networks

Abstract

Developing an effective flow control algorithm to avoid congestion is a critical topic in computer networks. This paper proposes a mathematical model for a general network and uses discrete control theory as the key tool to design a new flow control algorithm for high-speed networks, ensuring network system stability. Simulation results show that the proposed method quickly and effectively adjusts the sending rate and queue level. The method is easy to implement in high-speed computer networks.
