A multi-objective vehicle routing problem with simultaneous pick-up and delivery and minimization of emissions

In supply chains, transport is one of the most important and critical processes because of the costs it generates and its impact on environmental pollution. This paper presents a multi-objective vehicle routing problem (VRP) model that considers simultaneous pickups and deliveries, heterogeneous fleet, time windows, and multi-depot to reduce vehicle usage costs, time violations, and CO2 emissions. Computational studies show cost reductions of up to 18.12% compared to the current scenario.
