Machine Learning and Deep Learning

Abstract

Currently, talking about Artificial Intelligence (AI) for some people is to talk about robots and science fiction films such as Terminator, Matrix, and I Robot, among others. For others, it is still a matter of reflection. AI focuses on objectives such as Machine Learning and Deep Learning, giving us a clear vision of where AI is heading today. This article details how Machine Learning has evolved from basic concepts to Deep Learning, and how both have grown rapidly thanks to the availability of large amounts of data (Big Data) and the Internet. It also explores current applications of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) in various fields such as mining, agriculture, climate change, and education.
