Characterization of the shared mobility of the transport network companies in Mexico: entropy, homeostasis, negentropy

Several urban systems are implementing alternatives to reduce private automobility, aiming to lower the system's entropy. The strategies implemented by ridesourcing companies in Mexico also show homogeneity with the negentropy of thermodynamics. This article identifies the coercive, normative, and mimetic isomorphisms of these companies to qualitatively determine the homeostasis of shared mobility in urban systems. Using the Entropy-Homeostasis-Negentropy (EHN) model, it analyzes the entropy produced by the anthropic element, the system's homeostasis, and the negentropy implemented to reduce entropy. Although these immediate negentropic strategies are effective in the short term, they lose effectiveness over time, requiring definitive negentropic solutions.
