Aligning the life cycle of a project with a BI maturity model: a proposal for the preliminary analysis stage

Abstract

Business Intelligence (BI) is a relevant application of data analysis techniques and artificial intelligence algorithms, leveraging an organization's internal and external historical data. However, the success of BI projects heavily depends on organizational maturity. This work proposes a BI project life cycle aligned with organizational maturity, focusing on the preliminary analysis phase. This life cycle is currently being applied to a real case, which will allow for an objective evaluation of its completeness and practical utility.
