Management procedure to ensure the quality of a university. Case study Technical University of Manabí

Abstract

The need to increase the quality levels of universities, mainly in Latin America, has led to the development of models for evaluating higher education institutions and accrediting their programs. These models must be integrated into the strategic planning and management systems of universities to systematically comply with quality criteria and indicators. This paper proposes a procedure to align the evaluation and accreditation model with the university's management system, which enabled the Technical University of Manabí to improve its accreditation from category "D" to "B" and enhance its international visibility.
