A theoretical framework based on the Borrmann classification and the Japanese gastric cancer classification is proposed to qualitatively assess stomach cancer from 3D images obtained using multi-slice computed tomography (MSCT). The goal is to demonstrate the MSCT’s ability to reflect the morphopathological characteristics of stomach adenocarcinoma types. A comparative analysis of 46 MSCT explorations shows a 96% match between theoretical characteristics and observed features in the images.
