Analysis of the physical-mechanical performance of concrete partially substituting cement with nanosilica and coarse aggregate with rock wool

Excessive concrete production has led to the overexploitation of natural resources, driving the exploration of alternative materials like nanosilica (NS) and rock wool (LR). This experimental study incorporates these materials in varying percentages to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of concrete. Results show significant increases in compressive and flexural strength, concluding that 1.4% NS and 6% LR are the optimal proportions for enhancing mechanical strength compared to control designs.
