This study analyzes the evolution of the distribution and dynamics of the sectoral Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the regions of Chile between 1960 and 2020. The changes in the production structure are characterized using regional analysis techniques, and the sectors promoting regional growth are identified, with a particular focus on the 1960-1990 and 1990-2020 periods. The objective is to understand how regional specialization and internationalization of the Chilean economy have influenced the unequal economic development of the territories.
