An agent-based routing search methodology for improving QoS in MANET

The routing performance of Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) depends on the individual nodes that represent the network. This paper presents a new protocol based on agent self-monitoring, following the AODV routing algorithm. This protocol, called AB-AODV (Agent-Based AODV), aims to manage trust information locally with minimal overhead in terms of extra messages and delay. Performance evaluation via simulations shows that the proposed protocol improves routing performance compared to standard AODV.
